A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. A S M Shaykhul Islam FCMA handed over a cheque of Tk. 5 lac to H. E. Mr. Hari Kumar Shrestha, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary, Nepal Embassy at Dhaka on May 21, 2015 for the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims in Nepal.

ICMAB BPC

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA called on Mr. A M Badrudduja, Chairman, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation at his office on March 30, 2015.

The ICMAB President apprised the Chairman, BPC about the role of Cost and Management Accountants and their contribution towards the establishment of transparency, accountability and corporate governance in the business and industrial sectors of our country. He explained to the chairman how the industries of the country would be profitable through Cost Audit and also discussed about the process of implementing Cost Audit in Fuel and Energy sector.

The BPC Chairman assured all possible help and assistance for the development and implementation of cost audit. Among ICMAB delegates Council Member Mr. M. Abul Kalam Muzumdar FCMA and Director of the Institute Md Humayun Kabir psc were present in the meeting.

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. A.S.M Shaykhul Islam FCMA called on Mr. Mohammad Iqbal, Chairman, Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation(BCIC) at his office on May 12, 2015.

The ICMAB President apprised the Chairman, BCIC about the role of Cost and Management Accountants in enterprise management, cost control and performance evaluation of business and industrial sectors. Besides the discussion on the matters of mutual professional interest, President ICMAB also explained how the trade and industries sector of the country could be benefited through Cost and Performance Audit. He also urged upon the need for implementing Cost Audit in different fertilizer factories, in accordance with the decision of the government published through Gazette notification.

The BCIC Chairman gave the assurance of implementing the decision of the government with regards to Cost Audit gradually and step by step. He assured to find out the areas of co-operation between BCIC and ICMAB.

On the other hand BCIC Director (Finance) Md. Abdul Hye, Controller of Accounts Mohammad Shaheen Kamal, General Manager, Finance Division Mr. Md. Lutfor Rahman FCMA and Additional Chief Accountant Mr. Subhasish Adhikary FCMA were also present during above discussion.

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA called on Mr. Nasrul Hamid, M.P., State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at his office on March 23, 2015

ICMAB President updated the honorable State Minister about the overall affairs of the Institute and particularly about the development issues of CMA profession. He also sought help of the Minister for development of ICMAB and the Minister assured him to provide all out support and assistance to ICMAB.

The ICMAB delegation apprised the State Minister of the role of Cost and Management Accountants and their contribution in the trade, business, industry and other service sectors of the country.
Past President Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA and Director Md Humayun Kabir, psc of the Institute were among the delegates present on the occasion.

ICMAB NBR

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA called on Mr. Nojibur Rahman, Chairman, National Board of Revenue at his office on April 01, 2015. The NBR Chairman exchanged greeting with the ICMAB President, office bearers and other Councilors.

ICMAB President highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation with NBR about the revenue collection matters of the government. They also discussed to make the ensuing budget investment-friendly with a view to creating more jobs and employment opportunities in the country. The NBR Chairman assured to provide necessary cooperation and help for ICMAB and Cost Management Accountancy profession.

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA called on Mr. Hedayetullah Al Mamoon, ndc, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at his office on March 18, 2015.

ICMAB President updated the honorable Senior Secretary about the overall affairs of the Institute and the progress of the ongoing activities.

The ICMAB delegation apprised the Secretary of the role of Cost and Management Accountants and their contribution in the trade, business, industry and other service sectors of the country. The delegation also sought active support and guidance of the Secretary for development of CMA Profession.

Honorable Senior Secretary for Commerce assured the ICMAB President and the members of the delegation of his continued support for the betterment of CMA profession in the continuously changing global environment.
